1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Pasthrough ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Pasthrough is a travel companion app that lets you log places you visit, plan trips, create itineraries, track budgets, collaborate with fellow travelers, and share your travel experiences. The App includes AI-powered features for trip planning and recommendations.

3. Account Registration

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Pasthrough.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on Pasthrough, including places, journal entries, photos, and posts. By setting content to "public", you grant Pasthrough a non-exclusive license to display that content to other users within the App.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or spam
• Impersonates another person
• Contains personal information of others without consent

5. AI Features

AI-generated content (itineraries, suggestions, journal drafts) is provided for informational purposes only. AI recommendations may be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify important details (opening hours, prices, availability) independently. Pasthrough is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

6. Collaborative Features

When you create a shared trip and invite others, all members can view and edit the trip's itinerary, packing list, and budget. The trip creator retains ownership and can remove members or delete the trip at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the service
• Use the service to send unsolicited messages or spam
• Circumvent rate limits or abuse API endpoints

8. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the App settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep Pasthrough available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

Pasthrough is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
